CT Man Nabbed After Crashing Into House, Fleeing Scene, Police Say

A Connecticut man was captured after slamming into the front of a home and then fleeing from police.

The incident took place in New London County in Norwich around 11:50 p.m., on Wednesday, June 15.

Norwich Police responded to a report of a car into a home at 295 Boswell Ave., after receiving several 911 calls, said Sgt. Avery Marsh, of the Norwich Police.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found the vehicle at hit the front porch of the single-family home and that the driver had fled the scene on foot, Marsh said.

Officers established a perimeter around the neighborhood and with help from a state police K-9 located the suspect ina. wooded tree line near the accident scene, Marsh added.

The suspect, identified as D'Andre Dulin, age 38, of Norwich, was charged with evading responsibility and failure to drive right. 

He was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, June 28.

No one was injured during the incident and the home has been deemed safe for occupancy, police said.
